Hello lovelies!
I had a fantastic time at CM this year, and I've been hearing mostly good things about it from other people who attended as well.
One or two not so good things have been mentioned as well.
So... I'm soliciting comments from people about the event - good, bad, and ugly (if you have them).
I can't promise to respond to everyone, nor can I promise to address everything brought up here, but I think that a little post-event discussion could help us (everyone who has anything to do with the event) to make it even better next time.
many thanks for the feedback,
Sincerely,
--MadameHeather

Re: Talk to me about CM'07
Mon, July 2, 2007 - 10:07 PMI had a wonderful time. I connected with new friends, old friends and even had a bit of my broken heart healed. I was saddened to hear of the thefts that occured the last night / early hours of the last morning. I can only suggest that we begin locking / chaining things up. Sad but true. I would like to see more art and I think we are ready for an organized coming together.... like building a man and burning him down.

Re: Talk to me about CM'07
Tue, July 3, 2007 - 7:01 PMI had an absolutely fantastic time at CM'07!!!
Got the t-shirt to prove it too!!! Photos on Tribe now!!!
The Sunday morning thefts were the real downer for me. Everything else was fine, even awesome. People were giving and helpful to one another. There was very little garbage/litter to be noticed really.
Regarding the thefts, however... I don't know that items need to be locked up so much as not left lying in the open where everyone walking by can see them and be tempted. Throw a blanket or tarp over bigger things before retiring, or even string aluminum cans with rocks on a string to make lots of noise. No, we should not have to do this inside our own community, but I doubt very much that anyone within the community committed the thefts.

Re: Talk to me about CM'07
Wed, July 4, 2007 - 6:55 PMHad an absolute blast,
Running coffee camp at CM is generally one of the top 5 highlights of my year, and this year was no different! Well a little different but in an exceptionally positive way!
Only thing I would have changed if I could, would have been the theft,. But that’s easy, chain down your light weight valuables. That’s a rule of thumb even at TEITD
Location,. Could work again, but a little more private would possibly be better. Also laxer fire and noise rules would have brought in more numbers (at least I think they would have)
I love being reminded of how easy it is in this group of freaks and artists to have a good time and get involved,. every individual that attends these things makes there own experience,. By the mind set they take with them onto the site, and the participation level they chose to evoke.
Anyway, special thanks goes out to,.. Well everyone who made it possible and those who simply attended and shared themselves to the experience!
Alex - still a little giddy,. but exausted,... in a good way!

Re: Talk to me about CM'07
Tue, July 10, 2007 - 12:00 PMJackass's three hour set Friday night absolutely killed. That was an incredible night, and so was the next night when Geminitrix rocked the main stage. The loverly Blueniteowl (who came all the way from fucking Minneapolis just for CM!) noticed that Geminitrix was studying the crowd very closely for the hour preceeding her set, then she stepped up and beat the hell out of us. I was lit up like a Christmas tree and at one point I table-danced on the grill right next to the turntables! Thank god no pics have shown up (so far!)
Couldn't quite get past the 2am shutdown though.
All in all, I danced my ass off so I really can't complain.
